We have designed a programme for the end of Term 2 to improve the children's knowledge based on the results of the IKAN test. The biggest gaps for my groups were in fractions, specifically
- Fractions: Order unit fractions Fractions –
- Convert mixed numbers to improper fractions
- Order fractions with the same denominator
The children select the workshop they need. We run them 2-3 times a week so they can attend all the sessions they need. As they master the knowledge, they get to mark their name off the chart on the wall which shows the results of the test.
At the end of the term the test will be re done to see if progress has been made.
